Dear families and friends,
Thank you for the ongoing privilege of serving you and your loved ones. I truly hope this letter finds you doing well despite the ongoing pandemic. Here at Cantex Continuing Care Network, we are working diligently, on a daily basis, in our fight against COVID-19.
Since early this year we have been working extremely hard to keep our residents, patients and employees safe and healthy. Our efforts will continue. In essence, we will not let our guard down as we continue to implement our in-depth, multidisciplinary infection prevention and control plan on a daily basis. Along these lines, the following measures are continuing in our individual facilities at this time, and we sincerely appreciate your ongoing support of and adherence to these measures:
Continue with our ‘No Visitation Policy’ with one basic exception: during end-of-life times as pre-approved on a case-by-case basis.
Offer video chat technologies to stay connected with your loved one.
Ensure that our facility is clean and routinely sanitized.
Screen and monitor our residents, patients, and employees multiple times every day for any signs or symptoms of any virus.
Restrict any employee from working at any time who shows signs or symptoms of any illness.
Ensure that our employees are utilizing PPE appropriately and washing their hands often.
Compliance with all COVID-19 testing guidance for residents, patients and employees. Should your loved one test positive, please know that you will hear from us right away, including information on next steps
Follow the latest guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), along with state and local public health authorities.
Provide routine updates to our residents, patients, family members, resident representatives, employees, medical stakeholders and partners, and community leaders.
In looking ahead, please also know that we are carefully reviewing the latest guidance from CDC, CMS, state health agencies, and local officials. This guidance is issued to help ensure the safe reopening of nursing homes across the country at some point in the future. We will continue to keep you updated on our plans in response to all future guidance and directives.
Together we can and will stay steadfast and effective in our fight against COVID-19. We ask for your ongoing help and support as we thoughtfully navigate this pandemic and its unique challenges together. Sincerely, Robin F. Underhill, CEO Cantex Continuing Care Network
